One of my favorite things is reading\studying\researching food.....always has been.
I know... boring i am!

I had a friend way back when... that lived for fake diet food.  She lived so far apart from that part of herself for many years until it mattered
It might of mattered to her so much because she lived so far from that part of herself for so many years, eating fake diet food was all she knew.
She was so ashamed of her weight that she never let herself into the tactile, sense oriented world of food as a punishment and because she didn't trust herself.

She thought that if she let herself cook and touch and smell good food, she would start eating it and wouldn't be able to stop.

So she always ate imitation food, like fat free cheese, fat free everything you could think of- and never let herself eat the kinds of foods that you not only taste, but feel and smell and hear, like fresh soft mozzarella, fried shrimp, dusted in cornmeal, crackling and popping.

Feeding the people I love is a  hands on way of loving them.  When you nourish and sustain someone, essentially, you're saying that you want them to thrive, to be happy AND HEALTHY AND ABLE TO LIVE WELL.
