camping is coming..

dirt, spiders, fresh air, waves, no computers or email
We love it and there are a million reasons why

the sand
 the smell of fish
campfires and smores at night
late night talks around the fire
the stars that are so clear and bright shining in the sky
It's all those things and something else, the something that are family becomes when  we are there.
We're the best version of our family there, relaxed and connected and without agenda or schedule.  We have conversations that unfold lazily and resolve over days instead of minutes.

(finished 2 amazing heart wrenching books in 3 days..)

We tell stories that everyone heard already and no one cares, and it doesn't bother us, because we have nothing else to do and nowhere else to be.  We're(I'm) irresponsible, and we make up plans as we go, and we've been going long enough that we have patterns, just like worn spots in the carpet, patterns that have become traditions, things you do without thinking, that familiar feel and meaningful.

(dave found this for me..knows me soo well)

The sound of the wind or the smell of the fire, taste of the bacon, the taste and smell of our family.

Bring on the Camping!
