Day 17

We are so blessed...

I've been working on a project here.  A long one that needed  to be done. We always try to go through our things and downsize and get rid of things we do not need.  This is one of my CD books. I have 6 and Dave has a few too.

Music is my sweet spot.  I have loved music for so long.  So many different groups and styles.  Before I met Dave I would go to best buy in Brookfield every weekend and drop a couple hundred dollars on Cd's.  Nice sets and imports.  Oh I loved imports of the Grateful Dead.  Followed them and Phish around a few summers.  I was a concert junkie.  I love everything about a good concert. 
I am going through them and downloading my favorite songs and getting rid of them.  Yup...they are going in the rummage pile. I've been playing a few for the kiddos and they think it's hilarious. No judging here! 
Such different extremes of music.  I could go from Alan Jackson, Diamond Rio, The Judds, Tina Turner, Ricky Martin, Erasure, Enya, Dolly Parton to Limp Bizkit, Tool, DJ Quick, George Clinton, White Zombie.  This is so fun yet so hard at the same time.  Hard to get rid of things you've had for so long that weigh you down.  I'm one that can cry very easily and I have to say I'm having some tears as I go through these.  That makes me feel so much better....Now you totally think I'm crazy!

Day 16

It was great...there happen to be people in there.

Interesting things happen at the Funkhouser house.  Dave just happened to be home for this one.  Olivia was jumping off the couch in Jonah's room upstairs which happened to be right above the pantry.  All of a sudden the ceiling light in the pantry fell and shattered everywhere.  Dave and I just kind of looked at it for awhile.  I wasn't quite sure how that just happened.   It was quite a disaster.  It needed a good sweeping anyway.  Gabe is constantly rearranging things in there.

She left this on the counter.  Olivia has been saving for a laptop for a year so she emptied what she had and gave it to us.

Day 15

We have never done this one but they asked about it last year after Christmas.  So we thought we would give it a try.  We bought a couple inflatables last year after the New Year for .80cents.  Crazy hey! So I figured out why they were so cheap...they need to be plugged in to stay inflated. I also should of looked at the size.  8 feet...what was I thinking?  We were hoping and thinking we got the ones that have a plug on that stay inflated.  Oops.  So we had to leave it on someones door step just like it was.  Already to plug in and make someones day!

My night ninjas were ready to go. 

We had a fine day the other day when all the big stars were drawing and the two Little's were playing else where.

Day 13

It took us forever to find a bell ringer and by the time we did I had no camera.  He was a dear old grandpa and he loved the hot cocoa from McDonald's.

Odin was baking with Gabe.  Odin let Gabe lick the bowl when he was done and Gabe gave him a thumbs up.  He's a cute little star.

 These were delicious.  I made Dave and I sweet Potato and black bean tacos.  So good!

We had some friends over Friday and we always make dirt cake for dessert with them.  Everyone wants to lick the bowl and we never have enough for seconds.

Day 14

You can never go wrong with chocolate chip cookies.  We ate a dozen and a half ourselves.  Poor Odin had to eat a Gluten free cookie and they weren't as tasty.

Day 11

We made some oatmeal and M&M cookies that were delightful.  I'm pretty much fine with calling them breakfast!

Day 12

Miah chose to give the gift cards to 2 families from Shop with a cop.  I didn't have my camera with me but he attached them to their windshields.  In perfect night ninja style!

Day 10

This is so much fun to watch the kiddos find the quarters. We look like freaks though watching and sneakily waiting for the kiddos!

Day 9

More deliciousness..

Olivia's rabbit lunch.  She's a very boring eater.

She was able to make peppermint winter cupcakes.

 She is my jam!

Odin's cartoon drawings and misspellings.  I was cleaning out our old art work pile.  They draw so much I just gather it daily and put it in a pile.  Every month or so I try to go through it and throw some out or we use it as gift wrap.

day 8

 This is how Olivia makes her lunch every day...fancy lady.

We have fancy hot cocoa makers here. We have hot cocoa all year long and make all of ours from scratch.  Totally cheap and easy!

Thank you for the generous gift card again...I can't tell you how grateful we are for these.  They seem to come at the right time.... When there's a ton of medical bills to be paid and the well is dry.  Thank you for loving on us..

My mom made the kids their own blankets.  Big enough to fit their beds.  They were so excited.  Thanks mom!

Olivia made this dinosaur egg.  They thought this was so much fun they keep doing it.  All you have to do is fill a cup with some kind of vinegar just enough to cover the egg.  Let it sit for a few days and there you have it.  The egg feels so weird and squishy.

This was so much fun.  We drove around and kept doing more until Abraham got fussy in the car.  2 hours later. I tried to take pictures of their art but no go.  It wasn't happening.

Olivia made these little homemade pizzas for breakfast for everyone.  Anything flies in this house for breakfast
