summer mantel

every season we change the mantel and summer was a little later this time around.  A little bit of hodge podge from the basement
hung Olivia's fish she made 
made the sun thingy which was fun but tricky
and painted the white owl green
we love it. 

 

finished a few other projects that I had downstairs for years but never got around to doing

everything turned out great..

My banner of fun!

I took all of my old fabric scraps and decided to make a 200 square feet banner that we could bring camping and hang around our site.
 It took some good hours of work

                                         this little guy kept messing with my fabric pile

                                          It turned out great and the kiddos loved it!

                     I could make fabric banner for everything in my house...we love them!

mobile

 so I had an idea to make a
 mobile for Gabe 
and my mom had some time on her hands.
I was thinking something from home with all the hodge podge 
craft things I have
a little bit of fabric, bolts, cupcake liners and pom poms
My mom did a great job putting it together
All the kiddos were jealous about having something in their room

now if we could get him to sleep at night !
Keep praying for him to sleep.
he has another cold.

Spreading the Love

We made about 100 cookies 
to share 

we couldn't do all hearts
we had to add the ninjas too

made a cake for home school too
that we had to eat with our hands

the no hands thing didn't last long at all

this kid is really neat when it comes to being clean

having our morning devotionals and heart shaped waffles for breakfast

Lego Organization

Yes we tackled it again

I feel like I never stop trying to organize Lego's in this house

It is the most played with toy in our house
they all seem to ask for Lego's for gifts

I love seeing what the kiddos come up with and create

We were getting tired of stepping on them 
Dave always seems to be the one who steps on them

and they seem to be in every room of this house

I had the idea of separating them by how many dots are on the top or what they looked like

ones, two's 12's flats odd building pieces, smooth ones...you name it

my mom and I worked for hours upon hours and about 4 days on this

this was crazy
it's amazing when you start emptying your lego bins how many legos you actually have

I have to admit it was something to do and it was kind of fun

we brought down an old dresser I had used up stairs and started to organize it with all the different bins of Lego's

 

 they created so many things after they were organized
the kiddos could not believe how much easier it was to find the pieces
hoping it stays this organized.....

it was a rainy day one Saturday when daddy was working
and this momma didn't have much energy
so we painted for 4 hours
until we ran out of paint
the kiddos had so much fun
Odin didn't want to paint this day
he chose to play instead
but they all did a great job
