differences

I don't want my teens growing up saying they like things they don't and tolerating things they shouldn't.

(Spidey wants someone to play with him)
differences and anger are there, they are real, and they aren't all bad.  Adolescents need to have their own feelings and experiences to know what acceptable anger feels like.

freely and generously give your teen love and grace, and require your child to respect and honor you and others.  In doing so, you will be helping them become an adult who treats others with respect.

Your teen needs you
period
They may not show it at times, but they are jumbled up inside and unable to function as they would on the outside.  They need a loving, accepting and validating parent to center their mind and heart and help usher them into the adult world.

Do the work of drawing out your kids feelings and thoughts, especially the troubling ones, and help them bring their fears, failures, and frustrations to the light of relationship, where they belong and can be matured.
