wow
(mayo part 1)

can I just say I am blown away by all the prayers, meals, love
and support.

you are all so amazing!

So just so I have record of every thing and this is like my journal, I'm being real here folks.

going into this whole thing I was not excited
I can take everything I write, think, and feel but then it goes right out the window for some reason.
How come that is?
yup even made plans for the kiddos if I passed away
my good friend Jen reminded me to keep a verse or song in my head the whole time I was praying
that was completely working for this anxious lady!

having the kids come was a great distraction too.
We checked in at 545 in the morning and started the whole process for the day
Up to floor 5, enter your ICU room where you come after your surgery.
Phenomenal nurses
not one of them was crabby, mean or made you feel like a number....ever. just amazing people. mayo is amazing.
I talked life with everyone of them

The Dr. said the day before that I could just take off any of my bracelets that had metal but I could leave everything else.
When I checked in the day of surgery they kind of hinted to me to take them all off or they would have to cut them.
Dear lord I have had a lot of these since high school.
If you knew me..my bracelets are part of me

 (25 total)

The surgeon wheeled me down to preop along with 15 other beds full of patients getting some kind of surgery done. We talked homeschooling and God.  Great guy.
Never went by Dr either.  That's the amazing thing at Mayo.
Everyone is equal.
I was the youngest of the surgeries that day.
It's great to chit chat with all of these grandpas in there.
Most of them were getting new knees, 1 hip, heart work for another, you name it.
They told me I was too cheery to be getting ready for surgery.
didn't they know they were helping me with my anxiety😕
Only God can do things like that..

talked to my 2 anesthesiologist about quitting their jobs to homeschool.  We exchanged numbers, emails, homeschool curriculum and such.
It's really cool to see how god works in all these moments of our life.
he's just that good...open your eyes
