pasta, new books, state capitol

The kids have been on me to use the noodle press I have for years now but never took the time.  Noodle making is a time consuming process.  It took all day but they were worth the wait.  Jonah made ravioli and Olivia made linguini and spaghetti.  Everything turned out great and ooohhh so yummy.

We took a home school field trip to the State capitol.  So many types of marble...who knew?  We packed lunch and ate on the grass.  Beautiful day outside.
It brought back many memories walking around the place holding my signs up fighting against abortion.

Olivia's last cake decorating class.  Thanks to the awesome teachers. They all did a great job and loved it.

This is what it looks like at our house during the NFL draft.  The boys had so much fun listening and watching it all go down.Jonah even got a phone call call from TJ Watt excitedly joining the Steeler Nation!

We were able to stop and visit our good friend Alice in Madison.  What a beautiful view from her office.  Thanks for the tour and for all the snacks for the road.

We just got Odin's high school curriculum which was so exciting.  I'm not sure he would agree but it was like Christmas.  Fresh smell of new books, psychics and chemistry sets and 32 books to read. Just have to get our Spanish, Math, Writing and Language arts stuff yet.  I love home schooling...it is a lot of patience and grace over and over but well worth it and you gain awesome relationships with your children!!

Grace holds you when everything else falls apart — and whispers that everything is really falling together.”

I'm  so excited for next year...can you tell...

Last day of school ice cream for breakfast..

This little star decided to play in the rice instead.

Olivia was learning all the different papela on the tongue and what tastes should go where.  It was funny because she barely changed face expressions when I added different things to her tongue especially the vinegar.  It was a fun experiment.  My stars love experiments.  There is always something to learn!

Hope you are off to a great week and enjoy the sunshine!
