Happy Thanksgiving

Today we celebrate another journey around the sun on this beautiful, broken, planet.
We celebrate these last 2 years of our life in a different way.  They were the hardest yet one of our favorites.
Bittersweet in so many ways.
This week was the week that Dave was in the hospital for a week after his 3rd surgery.
So much to reflect on.
Another year added to the plate and who knew
Little Abraham would be joining our family.
God has moved mountains and dug some deep trenches.
The mercies of God cannot and will not fail and his faithfulness is unwavering.
Every sunrise proves the burn of his passionate heart.
 God is completely amazing!
When we are weak, our God is strong.
He makes beautiful things out of us.
During those difficult times we grow.
Each new challenge builds strength and character.
These are the moments that make it all worth it.  These are the moments that I hold on to.
My savior.  My husband.  My family.  My friends. All of you being a part of Abraham's journey.
Undone thinking about the beauty that is this little life that we live each and every day.
Blessed...so very Blessed

"We always thank our God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ!"

1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
We are so thankful for all of you in our lives.
We love you

goodbye to fall and my maternity clothes

As I was pricing 25 storage boxes of girls clothes for next years rummage I thought I might as well get rid of my maternity clothes too.  I never had much, just enough to get me by.  I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal.  No dressing up here if I don't have too.  It was fun to go through them and sad at the same time.  I  had to give the whole getting pregnant thing after Dave's cancer to God.  We knew it would be a long shot but we had hope and faith that God would bring another little one in our lives through adoption.  I loved being pregnant and I believe it's such a beautiful thing. Children are beautiful gifts.   I also loved eating for 2.  I'm still holding onto these pants which I had for all 5 of kiddos I birthed.  There's something about them, I just can't get rid of yet.

This little man  loves his bath.

Jonah had to make a Egyptian Meal and loved every minute of it.

Jonah studying the 10 plagues of Egypt.

We miss our beautiful state parks..

Olivia's getting better at the frosting! She would make cupcakes everyday if I let her.

Love the pictures I find on my camera that my little stars take.

Goodbye to fall..

 They love whittling
sticks

This guy is pure joy!
Have a great Thursday!

 Thanks and Sunsets

Thankful for a prayer blanket from little hands.

Gabe found these in Olivia's old clothes box.  We were trying to get rid of things here and he kept taking things out and trying them on.  We kept the cherry shoes.  No girl clothes for this guy.

Watch out..
Everyone is always loaded with some kind of weapon at this house.

yup..we got out our winter stuff and started going through all that stuff.  Seeing what fits and what doesn't.  Amazing how much they grow every year.

Love her attire..star wars leggings (she bought), along with a Captain America shirt and finishing it off with a flannel and black boots!

Gods' beauty..

Love this thing...

Jonah accidentally leaned the broom handle against a mirror of mine and went to grab it and it fell and shattered into pieces.  We cleaned it up and threw it outside in the big dumpster.  I later found this on the counter by my work space.  This is totally Jonah style.  He went outside and dug it out of the dumpster.

What beautiful weather we had here.  Loving these last few days of fall. We had a fun weekend.  Went to a friends house for dinner, got out the Christmas lights and Dave put them up, (not on, just up) church and free bounce house time after church at Cosmic Bounce.  Everyone is staying healthy and they are all excited to celebrate Jesus birth.  We are working on our random acts of kindness for December and our Christmas letter.  I'm excited to send one out this year.  It's been a few years.

Gather just enough for today. There will be more for tomorrow.  Let that something hovering go, give over tomorrow to him, and gladly receive this day and the just enough it brings!

Have a great Monday!

2 different ER's and delicious food

Olivia and her love for photography.  I love when we download the pictures and we see  these beauties. She loves to prepare and serve others.  She just takes a picture of what she loves and it's great.

They are all chopping something here.  They seem to always argue over chopping things.

Love these...

Such a sweet smiley dude..

Pumpkin chocolate chip bread to bless others with.  So tasty..

Olivia was learning about hieroglyphics and had to made a stone tablet from scratch.

She has been painting everyone's face with watercolors.  Miah and her were in the bathroom for about an hour coming up with different designs.

So Abraham got his first shots last Thursday.  By Saturday he was like a new baby.  Completely in pain and irritable.  Screaming his head of like he was in pain.  On and off throughout the day and night.  He would scream for about 30 minutes and nothing would help. Scrunching up his legs, puking a bit here and there and he had dark grey colored watery/poop for the whole week.  I thought it was a flu bug or something so I waited until Thursday to take him in. I called the nurse on line and she thought he was having interception from the rotovirus vaccine and she said to take him to the ER immediately.  Why didn't I call sooner?
I check in by 6:30 at Sheboygan Memorial.  We get into a room right away because he is screaming for about 20 minutes in the waiting room.  Then the wait begins.  I love how they transfer rooms  and you just keep waiting, waiting, waiting. They did an ex-ray of his bowels and that was fine.  Of course he was happy there for the next few hours.  The Dr.'s there told me they do not have the equipment or the right staff for pediatrics.  Nice...that's reassuring.  Glad they are honest.  SO she calls the Dr. at Children's and runs everything by him.  They want to see him to rule out interception. They preferred to take him by ambulance but I had to go home and take Jonah home and I needed some things for Abraham.  Dave willingly took Abraham and Jonah wanted to go with to see the big city lights.  My kids love big city lights!  Too funny.  The 3 hours at Sheboygan were killing him.  Dave left for Children's at 9:30.  Long night ahead..  They arrived at the ER in Milwaukee and waited to get in a room for 2 hours. Needless to say he screamed the whole time.  Dave didn't think about bringing earplugs for everyone there though so they were not happy.   I'm sure everyone loved them!  They did an ultrasound  on him and they said he probably just has acid reflux and if there was a blockage of some sort it passed already.  They gave him a prescription and then they could be on their way.  They got home by 4:30 a.m.  7 hours at Childrens' and Dave had to work at 8...Uugh.

This little star just started getting better yesterday.  Less screaming and a happy baby all around.  I've been checking into some things on vaccines and seeing where we'll go from here.
Just a season...as I always say!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Gabriel!

November 2nd was Gabe's birthday.  What a joy this guy is.  If we would've  never listened to the email from Michelle Duggar (the Dr. is their best friend) and prayed about getting a reverse vasectomy...Gabe would never be here.  God is so good!  So glad we drove 13 hours(we had such a blast on the trip down) to Arkansas to get a reverse vasectomy.  I talk like I went under the knife!  Dave was such a trooper.  Totally rocked the surgery and the healing.   So glad we listened to God when he put this on our hearts even though it sounded insanely crazy and weird. Gabe is truly a miracle and we are so blessed to have him  in our lives

Thank you all for the birthday wishes and gifts.  He had an awesome birthday!
