why did I miss the joy of that day because I wanted a picture-perfect scene?
Rarely does family life look perfect. Rarely do we get what we imagine as we inflate vinyl pools, plan trips, do the day to day or extend invitations.
But if we keep our hearts and minds open, we can find joy and humor in chaos. We can leave room for surprises and not fixate on the glitches that interrupt our plans. My hope is that you don't feel like you missed the joy of the season. Even when my plans fail, these days are worth treasuring.
