God is greater than your sin and god is greater than your situation and god is greater than the thing that has a hold of you that wont let you go.
God always has someone in position to meet the needs of his people.
Sometimes the place you go to to escape will become the place where you are enslaved.
It may be that you are escaping... for survival
relationships..walking with some one even though they are not walking with you but you would rather not walk alone but walk with someone.
Even if it means in the wrong direction.
Some habits become masters over us.
they didn't start as masters they started as medication
so we take a pill at first then it becomes more and more and then you are enslaved
from something that YOU escaped too.
the feeling of lonliness can be so great that you would rather feel a dirty connection than a clean sense of confinement that comes from being quarantined in your own mind.
the place that you escape to becomes the place you are enslaved in
the place we run to can be the place we are trapped in
going outside of god to meet a god given need
doing things that leave a wake of consequences
doing things that make me feel awful in the morning
it works until it doesn't
it works until it gets old
then you start chasing something that doesn't deliver
WE want a way out...
God didn't take me out of it
he got me through it
whatever you trust
becomes your master
what are you escaping from
has it started to enslave you
hope hurts
you expect the worst
the devil always knows when we're hungry
your susceptible when you're hungry
u eat junk when you're hungry
you try to live off peoples compliments when only Gods validation is able to sustain you
lust of the flesh
you've got to know who to trust
it's by grace that you are saved
