daisy stew, reading and friends

Those cheeks......I wish they would stay like that.

Olivia making up some kind of daisy stew.

Cleaning out Legos from the vacuum bag is not fun at all.  The kids thought this was hilarious and gross at the same time.  We found at least 20 pieces.

This guy loves bike rides. Odin has been carrying the bike trailer on his bike now.  I'm thinking he feels pretty cool doing that.  He loves his little brother something fierce. I keep waiting for him to take out a mailbox with the trailer.

These 3 rascals got themselves stuck in here.  So I spun them faster and faster and didn't get them out.

We found a great truck for Dave.  When he retires I think!

We love an hour of quiet time every day.  For some reason in the summer I get to read more books.  It's great!

One of the 4 books I'm reading right now.

A book about doing more with your faith.  Not just going to church, tithing and studying the Bible.

David Nowell shares powerful stories of faith in action, and encourages us to move with him from the sidelines to the front line, to get our hands dirty helping the hopeless, the disenfranchised, and the poor.

Loving as God loves is central to the gospel, whether that means taking in foster children, ministering to inmates at the local jail, or something else God has in mind just for you. Let this inspiring book help you find what's been missing in your faith.

Yard full of kids running around and having a blast. Love having friends over to play and hang out.

Our new bird watcher

He is still doing this hiding under the blanket thing.

Our Kale is growing like mad and we're loving the garden thing.

Math lessons on the driveway.  I'm the mean mom making them school through the summer.

My parents took us out for breakfast and this is what he does.  The butter train.

We've  had some great weekends.  Filled with movie nights, a visit to my brothers a few hours away, get togethers with friends and just plain hanging out. My brother has a pool so the kids were stoked. They swam, ate and swam some more and played all day.  The kids would love a pool.  We had a great time just hanging out.

Jeremiah's blood tests came back negative for allergies.  Which was a huge plus.  For some odd reason he was disappointed and wanted allergies.  Weird kid!  The other kids are not having any symptoms or signs of allergies so we won't bother getting them tested right now.

I can't believe August is almost here already.  Where is summer going?  Have a wonderful Thursday!

Dentists and Dr's oh my
We went to the dentist a few times this week.  We love our dentist.  Joseph and Joseph in Plymouth.  They totally rock.  Great Christian people their working hard on your teeth.  Odin had to get 2 permanent teeth fixed that he chipped. Actually Olivia chipped them with a metal flashlight.  They were playing a mean round of flashlight tag apparently.  His front 2 lower teeth.
Then we had everyone in for a cleaning and 2 had to get ex-rays.  Walked out of there with happy smiling children and a big bill to pay ($1,300).  Going to be real here folks...Not having dental insurance completely sucks!

Then on the way home we almost got into 2 accidents.  2 completely different people pull out in front of us.  1 crazy driver looked at us and stopped in the middle of the rode after he turned in front of us and screamed while he looked at us. I should of taken a picture.  The kids didn't know if they should laugh or cry.  Everything in the car flew on the floor.  I called the guy a  fricken idiot.  The kids gave me the wholly cow I can't believe  my mom said that look.  It was priceless.
Then on Sunday we have 1 lady cut in front of us again downtown and  I was only going about 30.  I completely laid on my horn.  She had no clue.
Then we're driving on the highway and out of nowhere this big white semi decides to move over into our lane.  He totally saw us because his front end would of hit the second row of seats.  He literally pushed us off the road onto the grass. I was going 70 so it took me awhile to slow down.  We finally got up next to him and gave him a little talking too.  Odin noticed the fish stickers on the back and that there was no 1800 how's my driving!
The kids asked if there was some assassin out to get us or something.

 Happy Monday!

We went to this free zoo downtown Baraboo which was really cute.  The kids wanted to take the prairie dogs home and run.  They were so cute and funny.

Dave and the kids hiked Balanced Rock.

Lots of check ups this week and Dr. appointments. Praying they all go smoothly and we all stay healthy.
