That 's what the boys call it. Just the older boys with dad for a couple nights tent camping. This year they went to Point Beach State Forest. It is one of our favorites for fall camping. Only thing this year was that it was 90 degrees when they left our home. Except when they got to the state forest it was 72! The cooler temps come from being close to the lake.
A nice weekend for Dave to spend time with the older boys talking about responsibility and what it means to be a young man. the boys love cooking breakfast and then taking long hikes in the woods just talking with Dave. they have a lot of fun and this year they went to a civil war event at the wade house. they toured the camps learning about life in the the civil war and even met President Abe Lincoln. it was smiles all around.
