summer
Summer is half over in our kid's eyes and we have done so much together as a family
it has been going so fast
having lots of fun doing silly stuff and there is always a lot of bickering as well

a target range with red solo cups

this big man loves pork chop bones

lots of Lego building

I haven't had time to write much
but I have been reading a lot of awesome books

As a family we just read

Heaven is for Real
 Product Details

and Heaven Is Here

Beautiful book of hope...I suggest you all read this!

Working on my curriculum for next year takes a lot of time also
finding a lot of used stuff online that I needed
I love sales and used stuff!

Hope your all having a fun filled summer with lots of memories!

rummage finds
oh boy do I love rummage sales
most of the kiddos do to except for Odin
we scored an old 70's teenage mutant ninja turtle game for .50cents

this awesome chair for $20
which everyone cannot get enough of
It goes perfectly in our corner for reading!
Dave was wondering when we were going to reapolster it?

We needed a pack n play for camping for Gabe
We have never had one of those things and we
found this beauty for $5

the big kids love it

looks like we will be having our big rummage next year
just couldn't do it this year with what we have going on
please let me know if you have anything you would like to donate
our funds will go into our adoption/mission trip fund.

Jonah

Well this summer seems to be the time for broken bones
When we were camping at Peninsula State Park  this last week
Our kiddos were racing up and down this hill doing all sorts of tricks on their bikes
Olivia
 always the fearless leader
asking about doing handstands on a bike

Jonah was going around the corner up a hill and took the corner to fast
and literally skidded a few feet off his bike
bad case of road rash and some tears
There was one big wound on his ankle it was disgusting
Like I always said on this blog I can do poop and puke and broken bones but for some reason blood bothers me.

We noticed he was still having a hard time walking on it  4 days after the accident
so when we got home we took him to the walk in clinic
and sure enough
he had broken  a corner of his growth plate under the tibia
So he has to wear an Ace bandage with a support brace instead of a cast for a month
He seems to be doing just fine and the wounds are healing great!

Time with Grandma Mimi and Papa Julio

We had such a wonderful time just hanging out with them.
It was nice having them stay longer this time
We played board games, got some ice cream from our favorite ice cream place "Scoops"
went to the Milwaukee County Zoo
We love that they get us the yearly zoo pass there as a gift.
We love to go there.
We went out to dinner to our favorite places and we even had a campfire in our yard.
Thank you for all the blessings and wonderful memories.
We greatly appreciate everything.
