Kiel Parade
The kiddos love this every year
they always argue over who gets to ride in the front seat and what to dress up like
this guy woke up and said he wanted a mustache
I did my best...

                                                            everyone loves these dancers
                                     wish there were floats
like the old style ones that you make
we did that all the time as kids

this is daddy after the Kiel picnic

time together
My parents took all the kiddos camping Saturday and they come home today
so we got some much needed time together to just hang out
It was so fun!
We ran errands and watched this movie on Saturday night
we have netflix and there wasn't much to pick from.  It wasn't a bloody movie, it was a funny comedy.
It was ok, just dreamt all night.
Then on Sunday, Dave had to work and I went to church alone.
Funny how your driving in the car and your talking to your children and there not even there.
When I realized it, I put my CD in and cranked up the radio.
Then on Sunday night we watched this

Dave wanted me to see this, because he knew I would laugh
otherwise I do not have patience for slap stick humor.
Dave and I laugh at totally different things
                                                        I was laughing so hard.
It was seriously crude yet funny.
It was great to spend time together just relaxing.
                                                          Thanks to my parents!
Don't forget to check out the Ordinary Hero website through our link on the side!

Raising Girls
I borrowed these 2 cd's from a friend awhile back
from The Ransom Heart Team with John Eldredge
I highly suggest them if you have a daughter
Wow, they hit me like a ton of bricks
I highly suggest you listen to them
For me they were something that hit close to home.
It was like the lights went on in my brain
As I listened all I could do was weep
agree with everything and weep some more
I was never into twirling skirts, drama, dating boys, pretty shoes, make up, shopping for clothes
(I think that's why I hung with the boys all my life)
but
as a girl
 I was never
told I was beautiful.....
delightful
that I looked lovely
or cute
until I met Dave
and I didn't take to it very well either.
just ask him, he has some funny stories about that.
I cannot believe what I put him through and he still dated me!
I thought this guy is crazy not me.
complementing me all the time
opening doors and just being a real gentlemen.
I was so surrounded by negativity and anger all the time
I grew to love it and accept it.
thinking that this was all normal
do I look lovely?
what makes my heart come alive?
do you see me?
thirsting for my daddy's approval.
whatever it may be
he loved for me to be in sports so that's what I did
never really getting hugged by him but I knew he loved me in his heart
he had a big heart, just wasn't sure how to communicate what was on it
or talk about his feelings
When I had Olivia it was the  hardest thing for me
besides  we moved that same weekend
(worked out very good that way)
I remember not being sure about how to hold her in the hospital
my mind was just twirling with all these different thoughts and emotions
what am I going to do with this little girl
it felt so different than I was used too.
I had all boys
little girls needs are totally different than little boys
I had to recover my feminine heart
(because I was really struggling in my heart with my new baby girl)
and ask for healing from our Father
to be able to show Olivia how truly and deeply loved she is
as a little girl and finding her identity.
Our creator is enthralled with our beauty
You are special to me
I notice you
I love you
perfectly
eternally
completely
He beautifully demonstrated that love through the death and resurrection of His son Jesus.
He speaks that same love through His Word and
His Spirit
whispers it to the hearts of His children continuously.
Thank you for changing my heart Jesus.

I just keep moving them from place to place
any ideas when you have so many?

look what I made
bought this frame/mirror for $1 at a rummage
took out the mirror and painted the frame with leftover paint from Jeremiah's room
painted some chicken wire bronze
cut and stapled a piece to the back of the frame
I used little clothespins and attached pictures on with them
finished!

love notes
I was gone running errands
Dave took the kids for awhile and they left me notes for when I returned before them
the one above is from Jeremiah
                                                         this one is from Jonah
                                                                 Olivia and Odin
Jonah
Olivia -this was in the refrigerator

We are a notes kind of family
the kiddos get a note in their lunch boxes every day too.
I love this!
I am such a blessed mommy.

Soldiers
Jeremiah and I were running errands and I was in line
getting  a cup of coffee
Jeremiah in the stroller
he pops up and points
and says to 2 soldiers about 10 feet ahead of us
"I know those guys"
you do, who is that(me)
their shojers
(still pointing)
the 2 young men come over and take off their hats
bend down by Jeremiah
and shake his hand
Jeremiah was so excited and says
shanks for serving and salutes them
Jeremiah loves uniforms
and is always so proud of his daddy
Love his heart

Pirate Festival

this was a free festival in Port Washington we thought we would check out
It was fun but not sure if we would go again
the kiddos liked watching the parade and the few shows that were put on, but that was about it.
It was mostly food and merchandise vendors
It was beautiful by the water.
