Thank you for all the wonderful gifts!
Christmas gets to be too much for the kids and we want them to not only cherish Jesus and his birth as THE reason of the holiday but to also appreciate those who share their love and blessings with us. This year we decided to do things different. The week of Christmas we selected members of our family and that was their day in our house. We prayed for them and remembered fun times we've had. We talked about their lives and the blessing they are to us and on our lives. We celebrated by opening the gifts they sent to us. The kids loved it and so did we. Thanks again for everything!

Melted crayon
I ran the dryer for the 9th time drying all the snow clothes the other day
the kids put their clothes on and they were all colorful
we are talking. all over everything
hats, gloves, boots and coats and of course dad's police jacket
So as I tried to figure out how to do this I let them play another time in the snow
I never had this happen before
I kind of panicked about all the clothes I just wrecked
Then I called my mom and asked for ideas and she said try a hair dryer
So, I got half way into the drum of the dryer and dried away for a half an hour.
Dried and scrubbed and dried and scrubbed
It got every where in there and it totally colored the lint trap too
SO
I sprayed all there clothes with shout and threw them in the washer and washed them on warm
Stuck them in the dryer and
Amazing
they were all clean
Not a spot of crayon anywhere
I guess I should check the pockets next time
because I never do.

Thank You
We had a wonderful surprise on Christmas Eve!
We had a wonderful surprise on Christmas Eve!
A friend of ours had rented a Santa(which the kids new was fake)
and he came barreling in the house singing Christmas carols.
It was great!
Jeremiah gave him a great big hug and everyone sang along to a few songs!
He sang carols all the way out the door. Thank you guys for doing this and for all the wonderful gifts. We are so thankful!

Shoes
Jeremiah calls his tee tops
We have 5 pairs of these shoes in all different sizes that have lasted 7 years so far. Odin wore this pair when he was 2 as well. Olivia wears the same ones too. It's nice and cheap at the same time. Love the cute and fancy shoes but they don't care, they just want to have something on their feet and RUN!

How embarrasing
I am talking to a man about something at Walmart and I dug into my coat pocket
I was going for my chapstick
which looked like this
My chapstick felt like plastic
and the guy looked at me with a very seriously bizarre look and kept talking
I just laughed(and talked to myself)
and walked away.
Totally forgot what we were talking about
NICE!

And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6
Tears of Joy
What a wonderful day yesterday.
Pastor Glen had an awesome sermon
The kids/adults did an awesome job on their program
We sold all our funky buns and a few necklaces.
As we cleaned through our belongings and gathered the money
my heart beat faster and tears of joy filled my eyes.
I couldn't believe it
God had provided a lot of money for us yesterday
Someone anonymously left us a large amount of cash in our donation jar at our church.
Wow!
It blew us away.
God is truly faithful and funds what he favors
I have seen God do amazing things for other adoptions and he has done so many incredible things for ours as well.
I feel so blessed that now I have stories that I can share with others that will bring him glory.
Again the words "thank you" are just not enough.
You have truly blessed our heart.
Your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God
My heart is overflowing with God's goodness
Thank you Jesus for calling us to this humbling place of adopting, fund raising and relying on you in ways we would have never dream
Today we're praying and fasting for the child of some friends that will be having surgery. Please pray for the family, the girl, and that the doctors hands are guided by God and she does well when she has that surgery.
We know you are an awesome God and we put our faith in you.
Lots of Love

Sleeping
All of our kids love to sleep together except Jeremiah
They all sleep in separate beds in Odin's room
They sing and talk
they all love to snuggle
Then if they have an accident they crawl in bed with the other
I need to get these kids out of pull-ups
They cost a fortune and we have tried so many different ways.
Have a good weekend!
Making funky buns for church on Sunday

Jonah
I came out of the bedroom and this is what I found on the couch.
What a sweetie
this book is HIS laugh book
When I was pregnant with each of the kids
we always wrote in a book/journal about funny things
things they did or things that happened
We keep them all on our bookshelves
we write things down right when they happen
The kids love to read them
they just are not AS funny when you read them to your child
versus the day they happened
He is such a sweet child with a HUGE HEART!
Have a great day!
